Just saw a good movie, Man of Steel, starring Henry Cavill (Immortals, Stardust), Amy Adams (The Fighter, Enchanted), Michael Shannon (Bad Boys !!, Boardwalk Empire), Diane Lane (Unfaithful, Perfect Storm), Russell Crowe (Gladiator, A Beautiful Mind), Antje Traue (Pandorum, 5 Days of War), Richard Schiff (Westwing, Lost World), Harry Lennix (Ray, Matrix Revolutions), Christopher Meloni (Law and Order, Runaway Bride), Kevin Costner (Water World, Dances with Wolves), Lawrence Fishburne (Matrix, Mystic River), and Ayelet Zurer (Angels and Demons, Munich).  Wow! More

We saw a movie that has had a lot of promo, the Great Gatsby, starring Leonardo DiCaprio (Inception, Titanic), Isla Fisher (Now You See Me, Rango), Joel Edgerton (The Thing-2011 version, Star Wars Episode 111), Tobey Maguire (Spiderman 1-3), and Carey Mulligan (Drive, Wall Street-Money Never Sleeps). More

We just saw a movie at a premiere, now then, you realize I am a real movie reviewer!  The movie is Now You See Me, starring Jessie Eisenberg (The Social Network), Mark Ruffalo (The Avengers, Shutter Island),  Woody Harrelson (No Country for Old Men, Zombieland), Isla Fisher (Rango, Wedding Crashers), Dave Franco (21 Jump Street, Superbad), Melanie Laurent (Inglorious Bastards, The Concert), Morgan Freeman (Driving Miss Daisy, Million Dollar Baby), and Michael Caine (Dark Knight, Batman Begins).  We enjoyed the movie, it is not out till May 31^st, we got into a premier in California a week before the roll-out.   More

We did enjoy Oblivion, starring Tom Cruise (Top Gun, Mission Impossible), Morgan Freeman (Driving Miss Daisy, Million Dollar Baby), Olga Kurylenko (Quantum of Solace, Hitman), Andrea Riseborough (Made in Dagenham, W.E.), and Melissa Leo (the Fighter, Frozen River).  Tom and Andrea play a couple who are on an outpost watching over the Earth after a nuclear war involving aliens.  Ruined the planet, everyone has moved to a remote colony on Saturn, Tom only has a couple of weeks to go before they join them.  Tom's job is to watch over a set of droids who are guarding a sea water harvesting system that provides power to the colony in space.  He is a repair man, a guy fixing machines for the next two weeks. More

We saw The Big Wedding, starring Robert DeNiro (Meet the Parents 1&2), Katherine Heigle (Knocked up, 27 Dresses), Diane Keaton (Annie, Something's Got to Give), Amanda Seyfried (Les Miserables, Momma Mia), Robin Williams Goodwill Hunting, Dead Poets Society), Topher Grace (Spiderman 3, Predators), Susan Sarandon (Telma and Louise, Dead Man Walking), Ben Barnes (Chronicles of Narnia1&2), and Ana Ayora (Marley and Me, In the Presence of Evil).   More

Just saw Iron Man 3 with Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man 1&2), Gwyneth Paltrow (IM 1&2), Don Cheadle (the same), Guy Pearce (L A Confidential, Hurt Locker), Rebecca Hall (the Town, The Prestige), Jon Favreau (IM 1&2), Ben Kingsley (Gandhi, Schindler's List), William Sadler (Green Mile, Man on a Ledge), Miguel Ferrer (Robocop, Desperate Housewives), and introducing Ty Simpkins as a great, smart young boy who proves to be a real help later on.   More

Just saw a great action movie, Olympis has Fallen, starring Gerard Butler (300, Bounty Hunter), Aaron Eckhart ( The Dark Knight, Battle Los Angeles), Dylan McDermott (The Campaign, The Practice), Rick Yune (Die Another Day, The Fast and The Furious), Morgan Freeman (The Shaw Shank Redemption, Million Dollar Baby), Angela Bassett (Malcolm X, This Means War), and Finley Jacobsen, a first timer, as the President’s son.   More

Just saw Silver Linings Playbook, starring Bradley Cooper (Hangover I & II), Jennifer Lawrence (Hunger Games, Winter’s Bone), Robert DeNiro (Meet the Parents I & II), Jackie Weaver (lots of TV movies, the Five Year Engagement), Chris Tucker (Rush Hour II & III), Julia Stiles (Bourne Ultimatum & Supremacy & Identity).  There are others, but these are the critical players.  And players they are.  More
